M1 is designed for everyday travel essentials such as a phone, passport, slim wallet or cards, keys, earbuds, and other small items. Its capacity is 2.7 L; exact fit varies by device and case.

M1 measures 9.5 × 6.6 × 2.7 inches (24.1 × 16.8 × 6.9 cm), holds 2.7 L, and weighs 0.65 lb (about 295 g). The shoulder strap adjusts from 29.1 to 55.1 inches (74 to 140 cm).

The box includes the M1 pouch, M1 body, and adjustable base strap. The Nex Ones app is a separate free download for iOS and Android.

The Nex Ones app is available on iOS and Android where our community of travelers share trips. We've also built features for travel safety with live location sharing, trip check-ins, and easy access to emergency contacts. It is optional and has no subscription fee.

The release tab is hidden behind the bag. Lift it upward to release the body; press the body back onto the base and the closure snaps into its locked position automatically.

No bag is theft-proof. M1's hidden upward-release path and automatic snap-back are designed to deter opportunistic access, but valuables should still remain attended.

The M1 uses a magnetic FIDLOCK closure. FIDLOCK advises people with pacemakers or defibrillators not to use magnetic fasteners. If you have an implanted medical device, follow its manufacturer's instructions and consult your clinician before use.

The phones, cameras, keys, and cards we’ve tested have shown no issues. However, we haven’t tested every item available. If something is specifically marked as magnet-sensitive—we recommend following the manufacturer’s guidance.

Yes. M1's RFID-protected body helps shield most tap-to-pay credit and debit cards, RFID-enabled passports, and many contactless ID, hotel, or transit cards. When these items are fully inside the bag, its lining helps prevent nearby RFID readers from scanning their contactless chips without your knowledge. It is not designed to protect phones, car keys, AirTags, or swipe-only magnetic-stripe cards, and it cannot prevent online fraud or phone hacking.

M1 is water-resistant, not waterproof. Wipe light rain and splashes promptly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not submerge, machine-wash, or tumble-dry; let it air-dry away from direct heat.

M1’s exterior is made from our own custom-developed ultra-microfiber vegan leather, created exclusively for Meetnex rather than chosen from an off-the-shelf material. It’s a synthetic, animal-free material with a soft, refined leather-like finish and water resistance for everyday use.

Yes. We’ve personally taken M1 through airport security on both domestic and international trips without any issues. Treat it like any other small personal bag: place it in the screening tray when requested and remove liquids or electronics according to the airport’s instructions. Requirements can vary by location, so always follow the guidance of security staff.

M1 is modular because its bag and strap are separate, detachable components rather than one permanently fixed design. You can change straps and adapt how you carry it today, while its connection system creates the foundation for what comes next. M2 and other compatible products are currently in development to work within the same growing ecosystem. Our goal is to let your setup evolve with each trip instead of making you start over with an entirely new bag. It’s the beginning of what we call the Nex travel operating system: connected products designed to make every journey more personal and seamless.
